Important Info forCompeting Minors

- 1. Officials will not move someone up just because they are fast.
- 2. You must have proof that a rider rode in a higher class. Note: A lower class had to have been offered at that event as an option.
- 3. All classes are modified classes.
- 4. Officials are not responsible for locating riders before their event.
- 5. A rider must be on the starting Line & complete one Lap under their own power. They Must Cross the finish Line and take the checkered flag to receive last place finishing points.
- 6. IF YOU ENTER AN EVENT AND DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE MAIN IT STILL COUNTS TOWARDS YOUR REQUIRED # OF RACES FOR END OF YEAR AWARDS.
- 7. If a rider leaves the course for ANY reason they must reenter the track at the safest possible point nearest their point of exit. But not at a point where they improve their positionor to avoid being passed/ to save position. Race officials will determine cutting the course going around a jump or obstacle. Penalty is 5 finishing spots. This infraction will be judged on a case by case basis.
- 8. If a moto must be stopped because of a rider or riders obstructing the progress and safety of the moto that rider or riders will not be allowed to restart the moto unless allowed by the race official.
- 9. In the event of a rider jumping the starting device and deemed gaining an advantage, before the starting gate is released, either by running through the gate or going over top of the gate, the rider shall be penalized. The riders front tire must be no further than 12 inches back from the gate.
- 10. MAIN EVENT GATE PICK PROCEDURE: All races (amateur or Pro) that have a division race, the first gate pick goes to the division that has the fastest elapsed time. This means that when the first person crosses the transponder line that elapsed time starts and ends when the first person crosses the transponder line to take the checkered flag.
- 11. PICKING YOUR GATE: If you are not in staging when gate picks start for your race, you will get last gate pick. If you are having bike problems, send someone to pick and hold your gate for you. You must line up straight (square) with the start gates. No starting at an angle. All open gates must be filled before you can stack behind on second row. When starting on second row you must be directly behind the person in front of you. NO SPLITTING OF GATES BETWEEN RIDERS ON SECOND ROW. (There is a safety factor in this)
- 12. Jumped gate rule: Race director will either red flag race with the racer starting in back row or dock the racer 4 spots at the end of the race
- 13. There will be NO restarts unless in the opinion of the race official that continuing the race will endanger the riders.
- 14. A malfunction of the starting gate will be the race officials decision.
- 15. If for any reason the race must be stopped it will be considered complete if the leading rider has completed over 50% of the laps.Example:3 laps completed in a 5 lap race.
- 16. Lapped riders must move over or be black flagged.
- 17. (Age Freeze Date) All rider age groups for the current calendar year will be Frozen as of Jan 1st 2024 and through the last day of the ARENA motoCROSS Tour. Whatever age you are as of Jan 1st 2024 is the age group you will compete in through the AX Season.
- 18. Vet Classes:Age is determined as of event date.
- 19. Riders who have been issued an AMA Pro Motocross or AMA Pro Supercross license or an FIM MXGP license, and earned a professional point are not eligible for any "B", "C", or "Sportsman" class,i.e., College (18-24), Vet 25, Vet 30, or Vet 40 class. Vet racers cannot compete in both Pro and Vet classes.
- 20. The white flag is a courtesy flag. It is not necessary to display the white flag at the beginning of the final lap.
- 21. If during riders meeting it is stated that motos will be 5 laps and for some reason the race is not stopped until 6 or more laps are completed. The race will be considered over at the end of the 5th lap. Scorekeepers lap sheets will determine moto finish.
- 22. Any verbal harassment or physical abuse of officials will be grounds for permanent disqualification.
- 23. No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances will be allowed on the track or pit area. Riders should not use any of the above mentioned substances before or during an event as long as they remain in competition. Any rider that is impaired will not be allowed to compete.
- 24. A rider is responsible for the actions of their Pit Crew. Infractions by riders Pit crew or associated spectators will be grounds for penalties against that rider.
- 25. No membership required.
- 26. Cash Only, no checks accepted no exceptions. Credit cards only accepted on computer pre-entries.
- 27. No refunds on pre-entries, no day of refunds once the first practice has started.
- 28. All personnel entering the pit area must have a pit pass. Rider entry does not includes rider pit pass.
- 29. All Classes except some secondary classes are run each night and are scored separately. Plaques/Awards are given each night.
- 30. 250F classes include the 250, 125 two strokes, a 250, 125 two strokes can run either 250F or 450F class 250F’s can run both 250F and 450F class. 14 YEARS OLD IS MINIMUM AGE FOR 250 CC 4 STROKE OR 2 STROKE.
- 31. Pit Bike must be 12" Rear tire, 150cc or less, no oem race bikes.
- 32. Don't start your motorcycles in the building or indoors pit. Warm them up outside. The only place your machine should be running is on the track or when the race director instructs you to start your engine.
- 33. (Kansas City Only)All ATV's must have a working pull away or helix type kill switch. They will be checked.
- 34. (KANSAS CITY ONLY)ATV's must have large, clear number plates on the front and back of the bike Black on white or white on black.
- 35. (KANSAS CITY ONLY)ATV's: Max width 50 inches

- 38. Late entries will be allowed even after qualifying. Until gate is filled -1st come first served. These riders will take any remaining last gate after the qualified riders take their gate in a Main event. They will fill the LCQ if they get there in time to make the LCq
- 39. MINI Riders: you cannot run both age classes, you must pick one age class
- 40. 50cc beginner class:: age 4-6 Points will not be kept for Tour awards as this is a stepping stone class. Bikes allowed: 50cc E Bikes, Honda XR 50, Honda CRF 50, KTM Mini Adventure, KTM SX mini, Suzuki JR50, Yamaha TTR 50, Yamaha PW50, Cobra P3, Cobra PW3, Cobra G1, mini E Bike in Power position 4 and lowered seat position . 50cc Beg riders can race 50 4-6 class as second class, excluding the e- bike riders.
- 41. mini-e bike 4-8 class: battery energy limited to 1 kwh. maximum (adjusted length) wheelbase 41", maximum wheel size 12", maximum seat height stock height 27". retro fitted 12" wheels are permitted, any power mode permitted. TETHER CORD MUST BE IN USABLE STOCK CONDITION.
- 42. MINI E BIKES RUNning IN a gas powered class must run the following restrictions. in the BEGINNER CLASS they MUST RUN IN LOWERED 25" SEAT HEIGHT POSITION AND power MODE 4 OR BELOW. In 50 CC senior and open class e bikes can run stock seat height and power mode 4 or below. TETHER CORD MUST BE IN USABLE STOCK CONDITION. Grey magnetic switch located under seat must be shown as being removed from bike at the start line
- 43. 50cc 4-6 bike requirements: 36" wheel base max, 25" seat height, 10" wheels. No Senior bikes are allowed in the 50cc 4-6 class.
- 44. 50cc Air Cooled approved machines: PW50, TTR50, JR50, CRF50 NO KTM or COBRA's or e bikes
- 45. All motorcycles must have large, clear number plates with a min of 6" numbers on both sides and front in order to be scored.
- 46. 50cc Junior bikes can be ran in either 4-6 or 7-9 classes depending on age. All senior bikes must run in 7-9 class regardless of age. All 50cc Air Cooled bikes must be within production cc limits. Junior bikes must have stock production components. All 50cc Senior bikes must run in 50cc 7-9 and open class only.
- 47. All 50cc, 65cc bikes must be production cc and OEM wheel sizes. No big bores allowed in 85cc age classes.
- 48. 65cc have a max wheel size of 14” and a min 12”. Must function through multiple speed gear box.
- 49. GIRLS (7-14) (50CC-150CC) (MAX WHEEL SIZE - 16" REAR AND 19" FRONT)
- 50. 85 Beginner normally means one year racing or less. Big wheels and CRF 150's are allowed.
- 51. 85cc 7-11 any skill level allowed. Small wheels only.
- 52. 85cc 12-16 any skill level allowed. Small and big wheels allowed.
- 53. 85 Open small wheel and big wheel is the 2nd class for all 85cc age class bikes.
- 54. SUPER MINI INCLUDES SMALL WHEEL AND BIG WHEELS/85CC-112CC 2-STROKE/100CC-150CC 4-STROKE (AGES 12-15) NO BEGINNERS
- 55. 125 allstar rule: 122-149cc, age 14 and up, c & b skill level

- 57. Beginner class normally means you have been riding 1 year or less. If you win 3 races within series you may be moved up. Past years champions will be moved up.
- 58. No late practice, one practice per class. We will not be responsible for locating riders for the event.
- 59. Protest of age or rider ability must have proof from local tracks score sheets or print outs.
- 60. Flagging is done in sections. Amateurs - No doubling or passing in yellow sections. White flag is courtesy flag only, it may or may not be waved. Checkered flag signifies the finish of race regardless of laps. Red flag stops race and race is started over. Blue/Yellow flag is for lapped riders to move over out of the way. Pro riders can double in yellow sections. Pro riders do race and jump under yellow, pro riders do not jump or pass under red cross flag. No improving position under yellow flag . Penalty is a minimum one position up to one lap per infraction.
- 61. You can not ride a different bike in your heat and main without prior approval from the race director. (Changing of bikes can only be due to CATASTROPHIC failure to the bike). Race director is most COMMONLY the person dropping the gate. The Race director will be introduced at the riders meeting for clarification. You must finish the race on the same bike you started on. The race starts once you pull into staging.
- 62. Gate pick is determined by random computer draw for heats. Your heat finish will determine your main gate pick order.
- 63. All riders in all classes must wear helmet, goggles and motorcycle boots.
- 64. Track officials reserve the right to make all final decisions.
- 65. We suggest using a smokeless oil. Excessive smoking will get you disqualified. Tuning or warming up of bikes/quads must be done outside.
- 66. If a rider is found to of entered in a class that is beyond his/her level of riding ability officials reserve the right to ask that rider to move down in classification to a class that better suits their ability.
- 67. It takes at least three bikes to make a class. If any class has less than four entries officials will safely combine the class with another class and run them together but score them separately.
- 68. Bike Identification: All bikes/quad must have VISIBLE numbers to be scored. Big bike numbers must be a minimum of 6” and be displayed on all side plates/front # plate. Small bikes numbers must be a minimum of 5” and be on all side plates/front # plate. Two digit numbers are requested for all 50cc competitors. All quads must have front and rear stationary number plates with a minimum 6” numbers.

- 70. Competition Apparel: >>1. It is the sole responsibility of the rider to select a helmet and apparel, which will provide appropriate protection. hoosier Arenacross Tour LLC does not endorse or certify any manufacturers or products. The rider must rely on his own judgment in the selection of any helmet and apparel for durability and safety.>>2. A rider must wear a helmet at all times. Helmets must be of the full-face or fullcoverage type. All riders must utilize a shatterproof face shield or shatterproof goggles. The helmet must conform to one of the following recognized standards and have a label affixed certifying its approval:• Snell M 2005 or DOT FMVSS 218>>3.It is recommended that all competitors display the following information on the base of his/her helmet: name, drug allergies and blood type.>>4. Protective pants made of durable material must be worn in all competition.>>5. Boots must be worn in all competitions. They must be at least eight inches high with laces, buckles or zippers, or specially designed and constructed for leg and foot protection.
- 71. Not everyone makes it to the main. The number of gates on the line determines how many will ride in the main. All Amateur racers will race at least two times a night. If you do not transfer directly to the main you will go to the LCQ. The rest of the main event line up will be filled with the qualifiers from the LCQ. If a qualifying racer drops out of the main, there will be NO alternates: there are 12 gates, the alternates are built into the system with 13 to 14 transferring.
PROTEST Rules:
- All protests must be made in writing to an Arena motocross official.
- It is the duty and responsibility of the rider to determine the class in which he or she belongs. Whatever class you race outdoors is your class indoors.Example:C class outdoors = Novice in Arena motocross.
- Protest must be made by competiton
- $100 dollar fee for age protests.
- $100 dollar fee for on track violations
- $100 dollar fee for classes eligibility.
- Arenacross Officials will retain all fees regardless of outcome.
- No one Except the riders officially entered may ride or practice on the course during the event.
- Must have proof rider is racing out of class.
POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP RULES and AWARDS
- There will be a National Tour Championship. Must race 10 race events in the National championship for the Bikes to qualify for awards.
- year end awards will be awarded to top 3 of each class
- National Tour champion receives one VIP Pass for next year. (Only one pass will be given to multiple class winners)
- If a tie is recorded in the final points standing the tie breaker will be the last race. The last moto is the tie breaker. The BEST FINISH in the last race will determine the class champion.
- drops: amature ONly two race drops will be allowed this season. Your lowest two scores will be dropped from the events leading up to the Springfield 1 event. The final eight races will be included in total points.
- DNS the main event will result in 0 points.
- If you enter an event and do not qualify for the main it still counts towards your required # of races for end of year awards.
- Double Points Races are claremore, ok NOV 15-16 (fri & sat)
- Points will be awarded as follows:1. 252. 243. 234. 225. 216. will CONTINUE dropping by one point until last place in main event
- Awards ceremony feb 15, 2025 - TOPEKA, KS You must attend to receive Tour Awards or make arrangements to have them picked up. We will not mail out awards. immediately following each race we will do awards and photos in suite. pros must race FINAL RACE (UNLESS INJURED AND UNABLE TO RIDE), AND MUST attend YEAR END TELEVISED PODIUM for year end payout
ADDITIONAL INFO YOU SHOULD KNOW
Please pick up your trophy 20 minutes after the completion of your main race. You can pick up your trophy at the registration office at most venues.
PRIZES, AWARDS, AND TROPHIES ARE PAID OUT EACH NIGHT AFTER THE MAIN EVENT; AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED OUT. EACH DAY IS SEPARATE AND INDEPENDENT EVENT, WITH SEPARATE PRACTICE, RACES, AWARDS AND PAYOUTS.
We run a tight schedule and your racer must stay informed of the schedule as the day progresses. We may alter the Main race order schedule slightly. You must check with the registration office for the schedule changes. They will be posted on the wall just outside the office.
All classes need to be staged 3 races in advance. If all racers follow the rules, no one will miss their race. Even if we adjust the main order slightly (for example to combine small classes) if you are staged like you are suppose to be, there won’t be any issues. We will not refund money for any racer missing their heat or main.
If you need to change your number, report the change to the registration office immediately!
One thing is very important to check, is the heat racer order. It is posted at the registration office and it list’s all the racers in their appropriate class(es). Obviously mistakes can be made and it is imperative that you check this order to make sure you are listed in the correct class with the correct bike #. Errors need to be reported to the office immediately. If you don’t follow this procedure and you show up at the gate for heats and you aren’t listed in your class, it will cause delays for everyone. this is important to do again after you complete your heat race. Go back to the registration office and check the results. You may think you got 3rd, but we may have you listed as last place. If errors aren’t reported in a timely manner (immediately after your heat) then you may show up at your main and not allowed to compete. It is difficult to research and correct a problem once the mains have begun. Please follow this simple procedure and the day will run smoothly.
Please sign in with the same name and number for each race. For example: Do not sign in as Andrew one race and Andy the next. The computer will recognize two different racers. Once you race the first time with a chosen number, that is your number for the series.
Lines are inevitable. However, if you will have forms and payments complete and ready by the time you approach the registration table, Lines should move quicker. You should become familiar with our classes and determine which one best fits your skill level before you arrive at the event. If you are uncertain, please call us prior to the event so we can help you determine your class.

MYLAPS TRANSPONDERS WILL BE USED TO SCORE ALL CLASSES During the Tour. What do I do next:
- I own my own transponder: just provide the 7 digit number during signup when prompted and YOU'RE done.
- I dont’ have a transponder: No Worries… Transponders will be AVAILABLE to rent for the event.
- $25 rental Fee covers both days
- Deposit required for Rental
- Leave $100 cash for the deposit. Get your Cash back when you turn the transponder in after racing…. so you always go home with money….
- Leave a valid credit card on file. We will validate the card by placing a $1 hold on the card. The hold will be release upon transponder return. (if you fail to return the transponder by the end of the event, $100 will be charged to your card. Return the transponder and the charge will be refunded.)
- MAKE SURE YOUR TRANSPONDER subscription IS RENWED AND MAKE SURE IT IS CHARGED BEFORE coming to the event. if you bought a used transponder the previous owners subscription will not work.
- I need to renew my subscription: Visit LiveView timing anytime before practice starts and we will be happy to renew your activation.
Each rider is required to have a transponder. Unfortunately you can not share transponders, but you can use your transponder on as many bikes or in as many classes as you want.
Live Timing will be provided during the event on monitors located around the Venue. You can also view live results and realtime racing stats.

14 MAN HEAT RACES:
- TOP 5 QUALIFY FROM EACH HEAT RACE. REMAINING 18 RIDERS GO TO THE LCQ. 4 RIDERS ARE TAKEN FROM THE LCQ TO THE MAIN. 14 RIDERS GO TO MAIN 1 AND MAIN 2
MECHANICS:
- ONE MECHANIC WILL BE LET INTO THE STAGING AREA PER RIDER.
- DRESS PROFESSIONALLY. NO BLUE JEANS, COATS, OR HOODIES.
- STAND DIRECTLY BESIDE OR BEHIND YOUR RIDER. WATCH THE COMPETITION DIRECTOR FOR HIM TO MOTION YOU TO THE MECHANICS AREA. MOVE PROMPTLY.
- NO VIDEOING BEHIND THE STARTLINE AFTER THE COMPETITION DIRECTOR MOTIONS YOU TO CLEAR THE AREA.

Points fund requirements / pro rules and Eligibility requirements:
- MUST RACE 16 OUT OF 18 RACES OF THE SCHEDULED RACES TO QUALIFY FOR POINTS FUND MONEY
- PROS MUST RACE FINAL RACE (UNLESS INJURED AND UNABLE TO RIDE), AND MUST ATTEND YEAR END TELEVISED PODIUM FOR YEAR END PAYOUT
- Gas powered bikes only, 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 450cc gas powered bikes are the only approved models for the open pro class
- Age: must be 16 years of age
- TO QUALIFY AS A PRO, IF REQUESTED BY PROMOTER, YOU MUST SHOW EVIDENCE OF PREVIOUS RACING IN A MAJOR EVENT IN THE A OR PRO CLASS.
- all racers must sign yearly Code of conduct agreement to compete.
