RACE RECAP – GT Arenacross Rounds 11-12 Recap: Springfield – Sponsored by Chasing Roost Media Co.

This past weekend in Springfield brought a lot of reflection. With Wyatt sidelined, it was just me and Chase making the 4-hour drive like we’ve done for 20 years. We’ve raced Arenacross together since we were kids on mini bikes, learning the grind early. I was his full-time mechanic in 2016, the year after he turned pro, and we’ve been through the highs and lows of this sport together. This weekend was about putting all that experience to work. Chase was on it from the start, going P2 in practice both days and winning his heats Friday and Saturday. Friday night was solid—2nd in both mains for 2nd overall. But it wasn’t the result he wanted. Chase is tired of being “almost there.” He knew Saturday was his chance to flip the script. And he did. Chase won his heat and lined up for the first main determined to take control. He did exactly that, grabbing his first main event win since 2020. After years of grinding, it was his moment. He backed it up with 2nd in the second main, securing 2nd overall again—but this time, there was a new sense of confidence. The momentum is finally on his side. Wyatt’s absence was noticeable, but the respect for the program we’ve built was front and center. Several riders asked about racing Wyatt’s bike—not just because it’s a great setup, but because of what it represents. The reputation of this program speaks for itself. It’s built on trust, consistency, and results. Wyatt has played a huge part in that, and we’re proud of him. We know he’ll be back soon, ready to pick up where he left off. Shoutout to Chasing Roost Media Co., who were there capturing all the behind-the-scenes moments. From the pits to the track, they documented every part of the weekend. Check out their YouTube for the full story. They’re not just content creators—they understand the grind and tell the real stories of racing. Racing isn’t just about the results. It’s the road trips, the tough nights, and the moments where you fight to stay ahead. For me and Chase, it’s been a 20-year journey, and Springfield was just the next chapter. If you want to support what we’re doing, check out the Team Sponsor Registry. Your support keeps us grinding for wins. Thanks for being part of it—there’s more to come.

CREO Racing Team Memphis Race Report:

We had a mixed bag weekend of racing in Memphis, some of my personal best riding and Anton goes 4-2 for P3 on Friday. During the LCQ on Friday, I threw away transfer position to the main in the whoops on the last lap. I hit a ledge, went off balance to the right, and smashed the wall. Didn’t crash, went from 3rd to 8th as the bike stalled. I came back to win the B main after being absolutely dejected from losing another transfer spot. I’m proud of the win, offset with anger over the mistake. Anton had the world’s smoothest mains on Friday, and eased it in both mains going 4-2. To level with you, it was boring racing for him but that was a nice change of pace away from being a pinball. Saturday did not fare him well, as he didn’t get to complete even a lap in the first main after running up the backside of the 10 bike going into the rhythm section, crossing him ass over tea kettle. He had a decent stinger and some cuts to the face, and will sit out this coming weekend in Springfield to play it safe regarding his head. He was not knocked out, but it was a pretty good strike to the bell. I was P8 in timed qualifying on Saturday, yet my one lap speed didn’t translate into main success, and I found myself in the B main once again where I finished 2nd. I’m looking forward to Springfield this weekend, I’m going in like a honey badger that had his lunch stolen. Points: Anton P5 – 173 Me P22 – 60

CREO recap – Lebanon, MO and Sioux Falls, SD

Rounds 5 and 6 of GT Arenacross in Lebanon, Missouri were really challenging for us. Topeka and Lebanon are the two equally tightest floors in GT, and though we showed up with more dialed bikes than we have yet, neither Anton nor myself really found the mojo. I straight up could not put a lap together in qualifying either nights, and though Anton was quick- in the races he never could harness himself to hit the whoops clean every lap which resulted in several occasions where he was the nail in the corner after. My starts and opening laps are hot, that’s where I need to build off of. Anton is an AX rookie, so playing the game and having a race strategy against our competition is a crash course (maybe too literal of an analogy) towards the podium. I’m chalking Lebanon as a fluke poor weekend. They happen, Anton is a podium guy and I’m capable of mains as we’ve demonstrated and will continue to conduct ourselves in such a manner. Anton: Friday 7-5 for P6 Saturday 8-10 for P10 Jeff, B mains both nights Friday P5 Saturday P4 GT AX points: Anton P5 – 106 Jeff P17 – 40 We raced in Sioux Falls for the 22nd annual Midwest Supercross just after the Thanksgiving holiday, where Anton podiumed the open pro on Friday with a P3. P11 in pro and a P1 in +30 for myself, then a P4 for Anton on Saturday while I cruised only in the +30 class for fun. (Frankly, the lighting was terrible over the black dirt and my eyes just could not keep up).

CREO Recap – Claremore podium!

Back on the podium for the first time since February 2023. Anton had a great Saturday night and went 4-3 for 3rd overall. Included in his winnings – a badass trophy and a champagne ceremony. He has momentum, and knows he belongs. This is huge for us, and the fight for the red plate has commenced. I had a shitty weekend, but pulled two holeshots and got 4th in the B main on Friday and 2nd in the B main on Saturday. I’m leaving for my honeymoon tomorrow morning in 10 hours, and frankly, that was on my mind way more than racing, and my right wrist had a lot of quit in it this weekend. Racing at 36 is harder for many reasons, responsibility off the track being the front runner. Points: Anton P5 – 80 Jeff P18 – 30 I’ll be back on the 25th. Thanks! Jeff Crutcher
