CREO recap – Lebanon, MO and Sioux Falls, SD
Rounds 5 and 6 of GT Arenacross in Lebanon, Missouri were really challenging for us. Topeka and Lebanon are the two equally tightest floors in GT, and though we showed up with more dialed bikes than we have yet, neither Anton nor myself really found the mojo. I straight up could not put a lap together in qualifying either nights, and though Anton was quick- in the races he never could harness himself to hit the whoops clean every lap which resulted in several occasions where he was the nail in the corner after. My starts and opening laps are hot, that’s where I need to build off of. Anton is an AX rookie, so playing the game and having a race strategy against our competition is a crash course (maybe too literal of an analogy) towards the podium. I’m chalking Lebanon as a fluke poor weekend. They happen, Anton is a podium guy and I’m capable of mains as we’ve demonstrated and will continue to conduct ourselves in such a manner. Anton: Friday 7-5 for P6 Saturday 8-10 for P10 Jeff, B mains both nights Friday P5 Saturday P4 GT AX points: Anton P5 – 106 Jeff P17 – 40 We raced in Sioux Falls for the 22nd annual Midwest Supercross just after the Thanksgiving holiday, where Anton podiumed the open pro on Friday with a P3. P11 in pro and a P1 in +30 for myself, then a P4 for Anton on Saturday while I cruised only in the +30 class for fun. (Frankly, the lighting was terrible over the black dirt and my eyes just could not keep up).
